We want to be a resource for consumers to help them make an educated decision based on fact and not fiction.

Consumers deserve the best and most accurate information about Christmas trees, including child and fire safety, allergies, sustainability, live vs. artificial christmas trees, cost-effectiveness, easy of use, and other factors that go into the Christmas tree purchase decision-making process. The American Christmas Tree Association (ACTA) has launched a new website, http://www.christmastreeassociation.org, to promote accurate and factual consumer information and provide consumers with the tools they need to make an educated choice about the right tree for their holiday and family enjoyment.
Each holiday season consumers are barraged with reams of erroneous information about choosing a Christmas tree for their family enjoyment," said ACTA Executive Director Jami Warner. "ACTA was formed to provide a long-overdue repository for consumers to find trustworthy and accurate information to enjoy a happy, safe and beautiful holiday season," Warner said.
"Consumers are exercising far more due-diligence before they make an investment in their Christmas tree, the centerpiece of the holiday season," said ACTA President Thomas Harman. "Our customers tell us they want to know more about green living, safety, design, and lifestyle," said Harman. "We want to be a resource for consumers to help them make an educated decision based on fact and not fiction."
"It is unfortunate that some members of the industry do business by employing fact-challenged scare tactics in order to sell their products," he said. "The truth is that there are many fine choices for every consumer's needs," said Harman. "The American Christmas Tree Association will be a safe-haven for Christmas tree consumers looking for the best, most accurate information."
