We are so excited to increase our social media community and build better relationships with our community online

The City of Rowlett Parks and Recreation Department, is expanding its online presence through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and a new blog.

The Rowlett Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and the best in quality when it comes to programs and parks in the area. PARD is looking forward to building connections with families, non-profit organizations, schools and small businesses within and surrounding Rowlett.

“We are so excited to increase our social media community and build better relationships with our community online,” said Jermel Stevenson, Director of PARD. “We hope that our efforts online will result in a strong community of people that are actively engaged in our Parks and Recreation system and can provide real time feedback and conversation about our current programs and trends we plan to test in the market. This is a major step for municipal parks and recreation systems to step away from traditional marketing outlets and develop a model for the use of social media marketing as a way to educate our residents about their parks, health and wellness opportunities in parks and youth development initiatives.“

The Parks and Recreation Department is committed to increasing the communication among families, non-profit organizations and businesses in the Rowlett community, and that includes dedicated social media efforts. These efforts include participating in parks and recreation related conversations with their customers, prospects, and enthusiasts of Rowlett about current online topics.
