North Star Destination Strategies welcomes Kari Harris, Community Brand Supervisor, to the community branding team. Kari’s education spans studies in human behavior and business analytics, which she applies expertly when developing strategy and insights for North Star clients. Her experience includes supporting clients through effective communication, customer service and creativity which benefits her North Star clients throughout the BrandPrint Process.
North Star Destination Strategies specializes in Community Marketing and City Branding. North Star's BrandPrint process combines research, strategy and creativity, and has helped develop unique and effective brands for big-name cities like Anchorage, Alaska; Providence, Rhode Island and Williamsburg, Virginia. That same process and passion has also been applied to small cities that will soon be household names such as Uvalde, Texas, Seward, Alaska and Warrensburg, Missouri. North Star is based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Kari has a degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee and graduated magna cum laude with an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University. Most recently Kari transformed strategies into peak performance as Marketing Director for a national managed services firm, growing from $50 million to $300 million during her tenure. She researched lead generation and economic development opportunities for a parent company of six subsidiaries and numerous vertical markets. She worked diligently on behalf of her internal executive clients.
Kari began her career in branding with two network television affiliates in Nashville coordinating media buys for promotional programming to ensure client messages reached their targeted audiences at the ideal times. Her talents in communications, media, client relations and strategy help communities recognize the importance of working together cohesively to achieve their branding goals. Kari’s insights and tactical instincts lead clients to approaches that are broad enough to include the entire community, yet targeted enough to get results.
