Cycling is my life and caring for others is what I love to do. Through Bike and Build I can do both.

On May 29, city bike designer, Linus Bike, commends Christian Andreychak for cycling more than 3,000 miles in support of the Bike to Build program.

According to a LehighValleyLive.com article, Christian is currently on the opening leg of a more than 3,000-mile cross country ride to San Diego. Approximately 30 cyclists kicked off the 10-week ride in Nags Head, North Carolina on May 17th. The trip will include 15 building stops in “Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Colorado and Arizona.” This trip is part of the Bike to Build program, which is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization that arranges fundraising cycling trips that “benefit affordable housing projects. Although the organization is not affiliated with Habitat for Humanity, its participants will work on and make contributions to Habitat projects.

Andreychak says in the article, “Cycling is my life and caring for others is what I love to do. Through Bike and Build I can do both.”

Riders need to raise at least $4,500 in order to participate. Andreychak was able to individually raise $5,000.

Route leader Erin Stevens says in the article “that this is the ride’s 11th year. Bike and Build has eight cross-country rides, which begin at various points along the Eastern Seaboard and meander their way toward different destinations on the West Coast.”

Jason Latty, representative from Linus Bike, a city bike designer, is ecstatic to see that cycling is being incorporated with a nonprofit organization like Bike and Build.“Whenever people are able to collaborate their love of cycling with a charitable cause, it is a win-win. Everyone here at Linus Bike congratulates Christian and all of the other participants on the trip. It is a very admirable thing they are doing.”
