CityShopGirl and Skincando Partner for a D.C. Scavenger Hunt Two Dozen Area Restaurants, Spas and Boutiques Participating, Grand Prize Worth Over $2500

CityShopGirl and Skincando have teamed up to celebrate with a Washington, D.C. scavenger hunt with clues available on Twitter and a daily email. The grand prize to the winner or winning team are gift certificates and prizes from DC area vendors worth over $2500 - a sampling of participants include The Ritz-Carlton, iLori, Still Point Spa, Sweetgreen, Chef Geoff, Simply Soles, LA Boxing, Ginger Boutique and Crooked Monkey. Participants must subscribe to CityShopGirl, clues will be in the P.S. section of the emails starting October 5. The hunt ends at 6pm on Saturday, October 17 with a cocktail party and announcement of the winners at Lotus Lounge on K Street.

CityShopGirl, D.C.'s free subscription email delivering daily discounts and promotions to area retailers, restaurants, spas and specialty stores, and Skincando, a D.C. based organic skin care company whose products include Combat Ready Balm and Lip Balm, have joined forces to host a city wide scavenger hunt.

The hunt begins on Monday, October 5 with daily clues appearing in CityShopGirl's daily email publication and on twitter handles Twitter.com/CityShopGirl and Twitter.com/Skincando.

After 10 days of hints and over 20 clues, participants will meet with their scavenger hunt items at 6 pm on Saturday, October 17 at Lotus Lounge. This event will be open to the public featuring light appetizers, specialty cocktails, and an announcement of the winners. The Scavenger Hunt DC grand prize (valued at over $2500) includes gift certificates from area vendors including The Ritz-Carlton, iLori, Still Point Spa, Sweetgreen, Urban Chic, LA Boxing, Ginger, Carl Ray make up artist, Crooked Monkey, Nage, Firefly, Chef Geoff and SimplySoles.

There will be a suggested donation of $5 to support Skincando's efforts in Operation Sand Flea which provides Combat Ready Balm to US troops departing for Iraq and Afghanistan.

Participants must be CityShopGirl subscribers and register an individual or team name (teams are limited to 4 people) by emailing rsvp@cityshopgirl.com. All scavenger hunt participants must be present at the October 17 cocktail party to be eligible to win. Items can be collected anytime during the 2 week window.
