Clarizen 2.0 On-demand Project Execution Software Unveiled at
Microsoft’s Under the Radar Event
Clarizen 2.0 Release Follows Host of Industry Accolades and
Customer Growth, Offering Revamped UI, Usability Enhancements and a
Range of New Features
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) March 19, 2008 --
Clarizen unveiled today version 2.0 of its on-demand project execution
software at Microsoft’s Under the Radar event
in Silicon Valley, ushering in the “Era of
Execution” for project management.
Commercially launched in October 2007, this first major new product
release of Clarizen’s software-as-a-service
solution offers significant updates and new features.
Clarizen 2.0 is the only solution allowing users who are not necessarily
professional project managers to go beyond planning and focus on the
execution phase of their projects. Clarizen 2.0 also ensures that
project information is always up-to-date by allowing users to report
their progress simply by using email.
Since Clarizen’s launch in October, more than
120 paying customers and over 4,000 companies worldwide have signed on
for the service – customers seeking a
practical solution that offers much more than entry level web-based
solutions, yet is far less complicated and expensive than MS Project.
Clarizen 2.0 offers significant updates and an array of new features
such as a revamped UI, budget planning, export to Excel and much more.
“Many project management tools fail to address
real business needs, focusing largely on planning, even though most
projects fail in the execution stages. In addition, these tools target
only professional project managers, failing to grasp that a vast
majority of projects are led by those who are not project managers by
profession. Clarizen 2.0 is the next step in our goal to provide a
practical project execution tool to users of varying experience in
businesses of all sizes,” said Avinoam
Nowogrodski, CEO and co-founder of Clarizen.
The release of Clarizen 2.0 follows a number of industry accolades for
Clarizen, which was recognized by American Venture Magazine as one of
2008's Most Promising Start-Ups, selected as a Red Herring 100 Europe
Finalist, and an Intranet Journal Product of the Year Finalist. In
addition, Clarizen was selected for the Microsoft Startup Accelerator
program and was chosen to present at the Graduate Circle of Microsoft’s
Under the Radar conference, based on Clarizen’s
innovation, marketability, growth potential and strong funding.
"Clarizen's ease of use and focus on team adoption, combined with the
powerful feature set for project execution, team collaboration and
visibility is outstanding,” said Kevin Hart,
principal of the Interlan Consulting Group, a Clarizen customer.
"Clarizen is a key component in our 'PMO On-Demand' offering for large
enterprises. With its low cost of ownership, built in support, and
availability using the software-as-a-service model, Clarizen's project
execution tool was an easy choice for us."
