The fact that we were able to design an EMR system specifically for our company needs and have it certified is truly amazing. It shows how dedicated and talented our team is and I am proud of all their hard work.

Clarkson Eyecare is proud to announce the certification of its own Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software. After five years of writing and product development across all 50 area locations, this EMR software has been board certified by Drummond Group Inc.

In 2004 Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published a press release detailing incentives promoting the adoption of EMR. The goal, stated Mark McClenna, M.D., Ph.D., CMS Administrator, was to “Use Health Information Technology (HIT) to improve health and health care not only for Medicare’s 41 million beneficiaries, but for all Americans.” The eye care industry has fewer than 20 EMR systems in place nationally. Clarkson Eyecare’s development of this innovative technology is just another example of how the company continues to stand on the forefront of patient care in the St. Louis area.

Kris Caldwell, Clarkson Eyecare’s Vice President of Office Support, is pleased with what her team has accomplished. “The fact that we were able to design an EMR system specifically for our company needs and have it certified is truly amazing. It shows how dedicated and talented our team is and I am proud of all their hard work.”

Clarkson Eyecare’s growlCMS systems currently serve 13 clients nationwide. For details on how to utilize this software in your business, please visit http://www.growcms.com.
