Clarkston Consulting, a leading management and technology consulting firm, and FoodLogiQ, a leading provider of traceability, food safety and sustainability software, have partnered to provide the Grower Relationship Management (GRM) solution. GRM is an integrated SaaS solution built on a cloud platform and supports the three core strategies of solution enablement: on-premise, on-demand and on-device. Combining FoodLogiQ components and support for the SAP® ERP application and SAP NetWeaver® Portal, GRM provides food companies greater visibility into the day-to-day operations of their growers.

GRM allows food companies to view all pertinent value chain information from the grower’s field all the way through to the retailer. Leveraging the SAP solution already in use by the client, GRM reduces the overall total cost of ownership and provides full product traceability by integrating with FoodLogiQ’s farm traceability solution.
“With the integration of the Grower Relationship Management solution we are now able to connect farm operations with factory operations,” states Gregg Storey, director of Clarkston Consulting’s Center for Science and Innovation. “Product information, including potential safety recall data that may have taken weeks to recover, can now be obtained in a matter of hours.”

An integrated grower-to-retailer solution creates an opportunity for a more robust approach to traceability and sustainability in the food industry. Food companies will have the advantage of viewing the full value chain by sharing important details from different growers, producers, packagers, and distributors throughout the process -- from the field to the retail offering. By combining Clarkston’s SAP knowledge and food company process expertise with FoodLogiQ’s traceability solution and grower understanding, GRM can create tremendous value for growers, producers and retailers.

Clarkston Consulting will be exhibiting in booth 2448 at the SAPPHIRE® NOW conference, being held in Orlando, Fla., May 15–18.
