Clarus Systems Raises the End-to-End Voice Service Management Bar with Enhanced Configuration Management

On behalf of the CIPTUG Board and our end-user members, we are thrilled to distinguish ClarusIPC Plus+ amongst the other entries for its end-to-end voice service management capabilities.

Clarus Systems, Inc., a leading provider of voice service management solutions for Cisco IP Communication deployments, upgrades and transformations, today announced ClarusIPC® Plus+ has won the "Board of Directors Choice" award in the Application "Bake-Off" at the CIPTUG (Cisco IP Telecommunications Users Group) 2008 Annual Conference.

The accolade, judged by end user attendees, was bestowed upon ClarusIPC Plus+ for consistent product advancements including Smart Link Integration (SLI) for HP Network Node Manager i-series software, enhanced configuration & change management, Unity inventory & change reporting, and support of the latest version of Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

"CIPTUG is committed to providing its members with the most comprehensive, highest quality user information that can help keep each Cisco IP Telecommunications product operating at peak performance levels," said Michael Kok, President of the CIPTUG Board of Directors and Senior Network Designer at The Boeing Company. "On behalf of the CIPTUG Board and our end-user members, we are thrilled to distinguish ClarusIPC Plus+ amongst the other entries for its end-to-end voice service management capabilities."

"We are honored to receive this prestigious award which confirms our company continues to make great strides in the voice management market," said Brendan F. Reidy, President and CEO of Clarus Systems. "This recognition is truly exemplary because ClarusIPC Plus+ was selected by the Cisco users who are in the trenches on a daily basis, battle-testing applications that help improve service availability and performance of their Cisco Unified Communications Manager."

CIPTUG is the official organization for anyone using Cisco IP telecommunications products. The CIPTUG 2008 Application Bake-Off provided an opportunity for attendees to give direct, valuable feedback to developers to drive innovative application development for Unified Communications, and to provide an avenue for communicating between customers and developers.

The competition was open to CIPTUG member and non-member IPT vendors, as well as CIPTUG end user members. The program offered a rare opportunity for application development teams worldwide to showcase the latest uses of IP technology, and be judged by the very people who buy and use the technology when it first hits the market. The purpose of the Application Bake-Off competition for end users and vendors is to:

  • Drive innovative application development for Unified Communications
  • Learn how other customers have developed and implemented applications enabling them to meet business goals, and gain a competitive advantage
  • Talk to other users, Cisco Partners and engineers to learn what applications can be developed for their converged network
  • Learn more about return on investment for Unified Communications solutions and applications

As further validation that Clarus Systems was well-deserving of this prestigious award, the company recently announced that ClarusIPC Plus+ has been certified as a Smart Link Integration (SLI) for HP Network Node Manager i-series software.

The integrated solution, ClarusIPC Plus+ SLI for HP NNMi, maximizes Cisco IP Telephony performance by monitoring end-user calls for problems such as call setup failures, poor voice quality, fraud or incorrect routing. When encountered, SNMP traps are forwarded to HP Network Node Manager i automatically creating actionable incidents.
