New York, NY (PRWEB) September 26, 2007
Clear Asset Management Inc. (ClearAM), http://www.clearam.com , a money management and equity research firm, celebrated its third year of live management of its Large Cap Value (LCV) portfolio, netting a three-year performance of 82.90%* compared to 37.22%** for its target benchmark, S&P 500 Value. Clear Large Cap Value, launched on September 17, 2004, was the first portfolio created by ClearAM using its proprietary multifactor stock selection models.
“Clear Large Cap Value now meets the three-year track record and top quartile performance criteria for institutions and their consultants screening for top managers,” said Andrew Corn, CEO and founder of ClearAM. “This places the portfolio in a new league and we are ready to take on institutional mandates.”
“The performance of the Clear Large Cap Value portfolio signifies that ClearAM’s ability to manage a live portfolio has passed theoretical and has moved into top quartile status,” said Fred Fraenkel, chairman of ClearAM. “The performance underscores the efficacy of our multifactor models, which are based on extensive research. Clearly the research has paid off.”
In June 2007, ClearAM was named “Equity Manager of the Year” by Opal Financial Group for its long-only portfolios. In addition to its separately managed accounts, ClearAM, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Clear Indexes LLC, runs four indexes that are tracked by exchange traded funds (ETFs) with two more in registration for future release.
In anticipation of the growth of its institutional business, ClearAM in September added four new positions, including a Vice President of Quantitative Research, two additional quantitative analysts and a marketing manager.
