Mirantis, one of the leading operators of Russia-based offshore development center (ODC), and Grid Dynamics, a fast-growing expert in grid and cloud computing, have completed a merger, creating a leading provider of high-end technology development services with the focus on Semiconductor, Retail, Telecommunications and Financial Services industries.

Both companies built their name and reputation on the ability to execute complex technology-driven development programs for Fortune 500 customers through combining Russian top engineering talent with Silicon Valley-caliber technology thought leadership. Mirantis brings to the table an unmatched operational maturity in managing large-scale technology development programs. Grid Dynamics – expertise and thought leadership in highly scalable mission-critical enterprise systems based on grid and cloud computing.
The company will operate through two business units:

  •     Emerging Technology Practice (ETP), offering consulting and development services for complex business solutions driven by emerging technologies. Initial focus will be on enterprise grid, HPC and cloud computing.
  •     Technology Lifecycle Practice (TLP) offering customized staffing services for large-scale development, implementation and support stages of technology-driven systems.

Victoria Livschitz, the founder and CEO of Grid Dynamics will assume a role of the President and CEO of the combined company, while Alex Freedland, the founder and CEO of Mirantis, will serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

“By combining technology thought leadership in emerging technologies provided by Grid Dynamics with access to the world’s top engineering talent wrapped into Mirantis’ unmatched operational excellence, the new company will be able to engage with clients at much earlier phase of their technology creation curve and compete for the larger share of major technology creators’ budgets”, said Alex Freedland, the founder of Mirantis.
