Microsoft Canada Inc recognizes achievements of leading Canadian technology partners’.

SoftCom is committed to providing quality Microsoft products to its worldwide hosting customers, and is honored to receive the nomination.

SoftCom Inc. announced that it has been selected as a finalist in the Hosting Partner of the Year category for the 2011 Microsoft Partner Network IMPACT Awards. The ninth annual IMPACT Awards recognize excellence within the Microsoft technology partner community in Canada.

"Technology partners are at the core of Microsoft’s business," said Neil Tanner, Vice-President, Small Business, Midmarket Solutions & Partners, Microsoft Canada Inc. "We are honoured to celebrate and recognize the outstanding achievements of industry leaders like SoftCom through the Microsoft Partner Network IMPACT Awards. We are proud to work with them as they deliver innovative solutions to mutual customers."

SoftCom was chosen as a finalist in Hosting Partner of the Year for its industry-known Windows 2008 and Hyper-V VPS hosting options. In order to receive the nomination, SoftCom was required to meet Microsoft's criteria of identifying an end customer's business challenge and then addressing it in either a new market opportunity or through technology innovation.

"SoftCom is committed to providing quality Microsoft products to its worldwide hosting customers, and is honored to receive the nomination," said the company's Chief Marketing Officer, Celal Ulgen. With a sterling reputation in the hosting market, the company is dedicated to developing both partnerships with technology leaders like Microsoft as well as advancing innovation.

According to Tim Attwood, Product Manager for myhosting.com, "When our customers succeed, we will also succeed." This kind of attitude dovetails perfectly with the expectations of Microsoft for their Impact Award nominees, who must not only be committed to the success of their own businesses and to partnership with Microsoft, but to increasing the ability of end-users to effectively interact with their technology and move their company forward.

Thanks to a wide variety of hosting products and Cloud service options, SoftCom is focused on forging ahead as a technology leader, and assisting giants of the industry such as Microsoft in changing the face of hosting and virtualization, not just in Canada but across the world. No matter the outcome of the Impact Award event on November 30, 2011, SoftCom is proud to be a nominee.

SoftCom, along with other technology partner winners and finalists in each of the award categories, will be honored at an award ceremony in Toronto on November 30, 2011.
