CloudAround continues to add clouds as competition grows for music storage

Box's recent promotion for Android users allowed them to upgrade to a free 50GB account for life

CloudAround is pleased to announce Box integration with their cloud-based, music streaming platform on Android. Box users may now add their account information and have nearly instant access to their music collection. Box, a competitor of Dropbox and other cloud file
storage and syncing platforms, has gained a great deal of popularity over the past year.

This release comes at a great time - Box's recent promotion for Android users allowed them to upgrade to a free 50GB account for life and increased file upload limits to 100MB by simply logging into the Box app on an Android device. According to Box, Xperia or LG Android devices can take advantage of the 50GB storage until the end of the year. For comparison, 50GB on Amazon Cloud Player costs $50, 40GB on mSpot costs about $48, and 50GB on Dropbox costs $99. CloudAround plans to add support for several more clouds, but do not currently have release dates set. For release dates, and everything else CloudAround, follow on Twitter(@CloudAroundApp).

Just recently, Dropbox partnered with HTC to provide 25GB accounts for free to new HTC One S customers for 2 years. While this seems like a response to Box's recent promotions, both of the giants have been offering promotions in cloud storage for quite some time.

CloudAround differentiates themselves from other music platforms by giving users their choice of storage providers. Choosing from multiple platforms provides users flexibility, and prevents them from being locked into a single storage provider. The end result is a cost-effective and convenient solution for users. Freedom of choice is just one of the many advantages CloudAround has over Google Music and other platforms only available in the US or restricted countries.

In addition to Box integration, CloudAround announces several new features like album/artist addition to playlists, ability to play all songs from a particular artist, Last.FM integration for scrobbling support, social sharing of currently playing songs, as well as improved sync reliability.

CloudAround is available for download across the world and is only restricted by storage providers. CloudAround is available on the Android Market for free with ads or a $1.99 ad-free version for Android 2.2+.

Founded in 2011, CloudAround LLC is a streaming music provider that enables mobile users to stream their media from Box, Dropbox, Amazon S3, Rackspace Cloud Files, or their local devices. For additional product information, visit or follow us on Twitter.
