Netspective and CloudPrime have partnered together to enable healthcare providers to implement application connectivity solutions that help them meet stage 1 meaningful use criteria. CloudPrime's application integration and messaging service allows healthcare providers to build interfaces between systems in a fraction of the time and cost of alternatives.

Until CloudPrime, there was no simple answer for a healthcare provider to meet health data exchange requirements

Netspective and CloudPrime today announce a strategic partnership, making CloudPrime’s HealthDirect application integration service available as part of Netspective’s enterprise architecture planning services, accelerating implementation time for connectivity while meeting new HIPAA requirements for security, reliability, and interoperability.

“Healthcare providers need to implement application messaging services to meet Stage 1 meaningful use requirements,” comments CloudPrime CEO Bob Miller. As part of the passage of the HITECH Act, healthcare providers are required to start transmitting health data electronically, meeting specifications that demand that health data be encrypted in transit and that all recipients of the data be authenticated.

“Until CloudPrime, there was no simple answer for a healthcare provider to meet health data exchange requirements”, comments Netspective CEO Shahid Shah. “Before now, we would typically roll-our-own solution for the customer which would take months to develop and cost the customer in professional services work. Now, we can do an implementation in weeks and add new partners to the health network in minutes”.

Netspective and CloudPrime will give healthcare IT organizations an application connectivity solution that will not require any changes to their network or firewall, reducing implementation times from months to weeks/days. Customers will also be able to take advantage of CloudPrime’s authentication and file tracking features.

“CloudPrime allows Netspective to solve the connectivity piece nicely and enables our team to focus on other critical areas of application development and planning,” continues Mr. Shah.

“Most of our customers saw interoperability compliance as a boulder to be pushed up hill; you had to determine where your connectivity gaps were, who would need access to your network and determine how you would interface to all the various applications on and off your network. It is no small task,” Mr. Miller explains. “CloudPrime takes the overhead out of implementing and managing such a network, and eliminates the need to expose the customer’s network to external sources. This is a big deal for most IT managers,” adds Miller.

“The next 5 years will be both interesting and exciting for health IT professionals. Netspective is ready to help healthcare providers implement new regulations and requirements with solutions like CloudPrime” states Shah.
