Clutch Group Executives Provide Insights at the Global LPO Conference and the Argyle Chief Legal Officer Forum

Varun Mehta, Clutch Group’s Vice President of Legal & Compliance Solutions, and Brandon Daniels, Clutch Group’s President of Managed Services, will participate in panel discussions at two leading legal conferences this week.

Varun Mehta will participate in the Global LPO Conference on October 11th from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott at LaGuardia Airport in New York City. The panel will address the Apprehensions and Challenges While Outsourcing Legal Services: In-House Counsel Perspective. The other panelists joining Mr. Mehta are Cheryl Fackler Hug, Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Hewlett-Packard Company, and Lucy Endel Bassli, Senior Attorney of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Microsoft Corporation.

The topics that Mr. Mehta’s panel will address are: the perceptions and outlooks on legal outsourcing; the benefits of outsourcing to a corporate legal department; the apprehensions and challenges when deciding to outsource; current and future trends amongst the GC community; and success stories and lessons learned.

The Global LPO Conference and Exhibition is one of the world’s largest legal outsourcing events for in-house counsel, law firm partners, buyers, service providers, investors, and policy makers in the Legal, IP and Outsourcing Industry. Brandon Daniels will participate in the Argyle Executive Forum on Tuesday, October 16th at 2 o’clock at the New York Athletic Club in New York City. The topic of discussion will be Litigation and Investigation Management. In addition to Mr. Daniels, the other panelists are Sam Eberts, Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings, David Martin, Former Vice President, Legal Counsel and Litigator at Medtronic, and Gary Rinck, Senior Vice President and General Counsel at John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

The topics expected to be discussed by Mr. Daniels’ panel include: how to avoid and mitigate risk during discovery; pre-case assessment and methods to excavate key facts; coordinating inside and outside teams to maximize inside contribution; decision making at a trial versus a settlement; and justifying strategy and expenses to senior leadership teams.
