Ez Router Quality & Innovation
We redesigned our existing CNC plasma cutter with the goal of making it better. This is a reliable machine that’s great for anyone on a tight budget.
Mineola, TX (PRWEB) March 08, 2013
Known for “quality and innovation”, ez Router is officially rolling out the APC2, its newest turnkey solution in affordable plasma cutting systems. ez Router is based in Mineola, Texas, and has been a favorite among CNC machinists for decades. Their standard and custom U.S.A.-made routers and plasma cutters pack serious punch, withstanding commercial and hobbyist applications.
ez Router’s owner and co-founder, Daniel Berry, says the APC2s are a great value.
“We redesigned our existing CNC plasma cutter with the goal of making it better,” explains Berry. “This is a reliable machine that’s great for anyone on a tight budget.”
A number of features come standard on ez Router’s new APC2 machines, including:
- Rack & Pinion z-Axis
- VCarve Pro
- Gear Racks with Precision Rails
- Full, Prior Assembly with Precision Welding
- A Laptop (vs. Desktop) Computer, with Ethernet Connection
- Multiple Size Options: 2’x2’, 2’x4’, 4’x4’, 4’x8’ & 5’x10’
- A Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster A-40 with Machine Torch or Hypertherm Powermax 45 with Machine Torch
- Increased Rapid Traverse Speed (from 800 IPM to 1200 IPM)
“We went from Kevlar-reinforced belts to gear rack with precision rails,” adds Berry. “We reworked the z-axis (where the cutting head is) so it’s rack and pinion rather than ball screw or lead screw actuated. We’ve also upgraded our CAD program to Vectric VCarve Pro for 2D CNC Plasma Cutting.”
Originally slated to roll out last October, the ez Router R&D team found additional ways to improve the former model and put off making the new unit available until early this year. Since then, ez Router has sold several APC2 all-in-one plasma cutting systems.
“Anything we can do to make our customers’ lives easier – or, as we say, ‘EZer’ – is what we want to be doing. Each of our APC systems is a source of pride for me. I know what our customers want and why they need things to work a certain way. For me, it’s a very rewarding business to be in.”
