Melville, N.Y. Company Creates Letter Art for Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year at New Jersey Sports Writers Association Awards Ceremony

Two famous coaches, Bob Hurley SR. and Christie Rampone, receive personalized canvas letter art from Melville N.Y. startup, Letters That WOW at the New Jersey Sports Writers Association Awards Ceremony this past weekend.

Bob Hurley Sr., a coach at St. Anthony's High School in Jersey City was honored as the Sportsman of the Year. Hurley is well known for his success as St. Anthony's basketball coach with 950 wins and 3 national championships. He is perhaps even better known for the extraordinary impact he had on the lives of his players and the surrounding community. Coach Hurley is also among the very few high school coaches ever to be placed on the ballot for the Basketball Hall of Fame. A motion picture is being adapted from "The Miracle of St. Anthony" a book about Hurley and a season at St. Anthony's High School.

Christie Rampone a two time Soccer Olympic Gold Medalist was awarded Sportswoman of the Year. Rampone is a coach/player for Skyblue one of the first professional women's soccer teams in the U.S. Rampone took over the stewardship of Skyblue in the middle of the season and never looked back as she guided the team to the 2009 U.S. Championship. Gerry Marrone, General Manager of Skyblue, accepted the award for Christie Rampone and received the soccer letter art piece designed for her at the ceremony.
