Cobalis Corporation (CLSC.PK) announced today that it has completed filming, editing and production for a national Direct Response Television and Internet advertising campaign to launch and brand PreHistin, the Company’s flagship anti-allergy product. The campaign is slated to commence by the end of March, 2010.
The 60-second spots feature San Antonio, TX based Board Certified Allergist and Researcher Dr. Paul Ratner, the lead researcher for PreHistin’s prior Phase III clinical trials. In the commercials, Dr. Ratner will explain the difference between current allergy anti-histamine treatments and “PreHistin®, The World’s FIRST Pre-Histamine”™. Current anti-histamines are designed only to treat allergy symptoms after they have occurred. PreHistin works to reduce the chemical cascade that leads to the onset of symptoms to give allergy sufferers a normal (non-reactive) response when exposed to allergens. It has been shown that in as little as a few weeks, allergy sufferers can experience significant reduction in nasal symptoms, as well as reductions in IgE levels that have been shown to lead to the body’s release of symptom-causing histamine.
The National Advertising Division (NAD) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus (CBBB) has recently reviewed PreHistin’s marketing claims and approved the most significant claims for use in consumer marketing; specifically, that “PreHistin was clinically shown to effectively maintain healthy IgE levels which have been linked to allergy symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, itchy eyes and throat, and runny nose”; and "PreHistin has been shown to effectively regulate IgE levels in individuals while significantly increasing serum vitamin B12 levels.”
The DRTV campaign will commence by the end of March with a 60-day test launch to brand PreHistin and saturate two core southern allergy markets – Austin and San Antonio, TX and then immediately roll out a major US national campaign.
As part of the DRTV campaign, PreHistin will be offered to consumers at a discounted introductory price, with an extra free month’s supply as added incentive for unsatisfied anti-histamine users to try a novel approach to deal with their allergies. Allergy sufferers will also have the opportunity to enroll in an auto-ship continuity program where they will receive a month’s supply of PreHistin every month for a year at a further discounted rate, with the first month free.
The DRTV spots have been produced and directed under the leadership of Greg McClatchy of Motor Entertainment, Hollywood, CA in collaboration with DRTV experts, The Sandino Group, and were filmed at the famed Hollywood Center Studios.
The PreHistin DRTV campaign is the first of several significant marketing initiatives that will be launched in rapid succession, including an upgraded Internet component “Ask the Allergist Expert” and a complementary online advertising program. In addition, Cobalis will enhance its national marketing plans by developing cooperative programs and engage in collaborative efforts with leading allergy and asthma support groups, foundations and associations.
