La Jolla, CA (PRWEB) September 19, 2006 -- Cody’s new dinner service highlights reopening as their tradition of exceeding expectations continues. Guests delight to Cody’s evening version of “refreshingly uncomplicated” classic American cuisine.

“By expanding the restaurant’s well known culture to evening service,” explains Cody’s owner, Dean Loring, “we hope to demystify the experience of casual fine dining”. With frequent diners in mind, Loring says Cody’s has evolved into a three meal classic American bistro with a simple yet elegant dinner version of their comfortable and familiar American cuisine. “Complete”, Loring adds, “with a tasteful wine list comfortably priced”. www.codyslajolla.com

“The dinner experience at Cody’s will remain fresh with a unique menu each week,” says Chef Joseph Barraco. Choices abound with unique “Starters” like the popular Yellowfin (Ahi) Tuna Tartare with Avocado, Cucumber and Wasabi oil, as well as Crab Cakes with Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho and Cucumber Salad.

Entrées deliver more tantalizing tastes, including Crispy Free Range Half Chicken served with Lemon-Thyme Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Spinach. For fresh fish, diners will find Alaskan Halibut, Olive Oil Poached with Tomato-Chili Confit and Crispy Potato Nest, and the delicately seared Organic Farmed King Salmon with Roasted Tomato-Fennel and Cous Cous. For steak, there is the classic Pan Roasted 12 oz. N.Y. cut with Dijon-Parmesan Crust and Portobello Steak Fries. Cody’s famous hand formed hamburger with crispy hand cut fries is also available for dinner.

Cody’s six-month hiatus, brought on by a building renovation, was time well spent. To Chef Barraco’s delight, a substantial investment went into kitchen upgrades and subtle cosmetic dining room and terrace improvements.

About Cody’s: With a sweeping ocean view and a quaint beach cottage setting, Cody’s opened in 1998 as a unique limited service gourmet outlet. Immediately successful, Loring quickly honed his version of “modern American” food into a full service casual fine dining restaurant with the highest proven standards in product quality and customer service.
