Whitlock, a global AV solutions provider, recently received accolades for its work on the visitor center for Northeastern University in Boston. The company received a ProAV Spotlight Award from Sound and Communications Magazine in the Best Education AV category. It also earned an honorable mention from Commercial Integrator for the Higher Education category of its Integration Awards Solutions program for 2013.
Northeastern University Visitor Center is a “high-tech, high touch” space, with life-size, multi-touch video screens and a spinning interactive globe, to communicate the breadth of the university’s educational mission and goals, along with its commitment to international studies. Whitlock worked closely with the architects at William Rawn Associates, consultants from Cavanaugh Tocci and specialists from projectiondesign and Downstream Technologies to deliver this high-end solution. The Whitlock team provided procurement and integration services, and continues to deliver ongoing managed services to Northeastern.
