Wake Tech's Financial Literacy Campaign Shared with Future Students and Their Parents

Wake Tech is offering a complimentary financial empowerment event on April 13th between 10:00 and 12:30 at Wake Tech North Campus.

As a part of their campus-wide financial literacy campaign, Wake Technical Community College is hosting Financial Empowerment Workshop for future students and their parents. These workshops focus on providing practical information that will help them in college and beyond.

A second Open House financial empowerment event is scheduled for April 13th between 10:00 and 12:30 at Wake Tech North Campus. Those interested in learning more about the college and their financial education programs are welcome to attend this complimentary event.

The campaign’s inaugural semester will deliver more than 15 events, provide access to an online learning center, and host campus-wide promotions to raise awareness about financial literacy and Center resources. The SunTrust Foundations Center for Financial Education at Wake Technical Community College offered various workshops for students, parents of students, staff members and those participating in specialized programs.

Wake Tech’s Center for Financial Education, in collaboration with the SunTrust Foundation and the National Financial Educators Council, is committed to helping students gain skills to manage their money properly.

Wake Tech is fully committed to designing a comprehensive financial education initiative for prospective students, current students, staff, and faculty. The planning, implementation and assessment of the financial literacy program is a collaborative effort between Wake Tech’s administration, Foundation Office, GED/ABE Programs, Student Activities Office, Financial Aid Office, Promotions & Marketing and Curriculum Education Services. The college is dedicated to providing this holistic financial education initiative in order to increase financial literacy and allow participants to achieve financial freedom and empowerment.
