The Aaron’s associates chosen were selected from a pool of more than 100 applicants at Aaron’s locations across the United States and Canada. Each of the five scholarship recipients will now have the opportunity to enroll in five StraighterLine online college courses of their choice for a full year at no cost. The recipients will be able to choose from StraighterLine’s wide variety of introductory college-level courses including those in Math, English, Humanities, Science and Business.

StraighterLine’s scholarships build on the firm’s existing partnership with Aaron’s and provides Aaron’s associates an opportunity for higher education at a lower price. StraightlerLine’s flexible, self-paced education model provides their students the opportunity to receive a college education without having to sacrifice their career. This opportunity is pivotal for those looking to balance education and work.

StraighterLine’s affordable entry-level college courses allow students to save up to 90 percent on their first year of college. Course credits transfer to StraighterLine’s partner colleges and universities or through the ACE credit service.
