The largest refined products pipeline in the United States, Colonial Pipeline, announced today that it is now a member of Pink Petro — joining the effort to create a new, inclusive future for energy. Pink Petro is a global community of 13,000 men and women in 120 countries aimed at eliminating the diversity gap in the energy industry.

Colonial Pipeline has a rich history of more than fifty years, and the Colonial Pipeline of today looks very different from the energy companies of yesterday. For example, three of the company’s top executives are women. Colonial’s Board of Directors is also chaired by a female.

“At Colonial, we’re executing a vision that will require innovation and an inclusive workforce representing a variety of talents and viewpoints,” said Colonial’s Vice President and Chief People Officer, Angela Long. “Our partnership with Pink Petro is an important part of building a team that is committed to excellence and engaged in creating the future of Colonial Pipeline.”

Colonial plans to leverage the resources provided by Pink Petro to assist in our efforts to recruit and retain the highly skilled talent required to operate in a technical, regulated, safety-focused industry.

“We are proud to welcome Colonial Pipeline as a supporter of Pink Petro,” said Pink Petro CEO Katie Mehnert.

The partnership with Pink Petro will provide live and on-demand professional development, coaching, and mentorship opportunities for Colonial Pipeline professionals. It also unites the Colonial team with Pink Petro’s community of energy leaders committed to sharing best practices on inclusion in the workforce and elevating women in the industry.
