McDivitt Law Firm to Host St. Paddy's Day Safe Ride Home Program—and That's No Blarney!

Three years and 3,600 safe rides home later, McDivitt Law Firm carries on its tradition of keeping the community safe by hosting its Safe and Sober Free Ride Home program on St. Patrick’s Day for adults who have been drinking or who don’t feel they have a safe way to get home.

“Festivities usually begin early on St. Patrick’s Day, and many times, people don’t realize just how much alcohol they’ve consumed by the time they’re ready to go home,” said Colorado injury lawyer Mike McDivitt, founder of McDivitt Injury Lawyers. “Plan ahead before you go out, but if you overindulge, take advantage of our Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program.”

Don’t Press Your Luck—Get a Safe Ride Home!
The firm is partnering with Yellow Cab of Colorado Springs to provide rides from a bar or restaurant to an individual’s residence—not to other drinking locations.

• The Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program will be available from 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, through 3 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010.
• To request a free cab ride home within Colorado Springs city limits, call Yellow Cab of Colorado Springs at (719) 777-7777 and tell them the ride is on McDivitt Law Firm.
• Due to the high number of ride requests on St. Patrick’s Day, rides cannot be guaranteed for everyone who calls; however, every attempt will be made to accommodate everyone who requests a ride home.

Make a Movie, Make a Difference:
In addition to offering Safe and Sober, McDivitt Law Firm is currently hosting a video public service announcement (PSA) contest for local high school students. The contest asks teens to create PSAs that focus on the dangers of risky driving, such as driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The winner will receive a Mac laptop computer or a $1,500 gift card, and his or her entry will air on local television throughout the summer. Safe and Sober Free Ride Home Program:
