Foreclosure.com's Latest Quarterly Comparison Reveals Colorado Foreclosure Market Among Most Improved Nationwide

Data analysis indicates “The Centennial State” had nearly 23 percent fewer active distressed properties on its books in first quarter of New Year

There were approximately 1,100 less active foreclosures in Colorado from Jan. through March 2013 when compared to data collected between Oct. through Dec. 2012.

Foreclosure.com analyzed data that compared active Colorado foreclosure totals from fourth quarter 2012 and first quarter 2013, revealing that “The Centennial State” had 22.7 percent fewer homes in some stage of default.

There were approximately 1,100 less active foreclosures in Colorado from Jan. through March 2013 when compared to data collected between Oct. through Dec. 2012.

Pagosa Springs, the only unincorporated municipality in scenic Archuleta County, was the city that improved the most statewide on a quarterly basis, reducing its inventory by more than 66 percent. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the amount of distressed homes in Colorado Springs, the second-most populated city in the state behind its capital (Denver), increased nearly 4 percent.

Denver, dubbed “The Mile High City,” ranked second best in terms of positive percentage change behind Pagosa Springs with a 43 percent improvement in its active inventory.
