River Runners, a Colorado whitewater rafting company with two locations on the Arkansas River, announced group rafting discounts of 10-30 percent off for the upcoming Colorado rafting season to run May 1 – Labor Day, 2013.

These Colorado group rafting discounts are 10 percent off for groups of 10 or more; 20 percent off for groups of 20 or more; and 30 percent off for groups of 30 or more, according to Eileen Peterson, general manager at River Runners.

“River Runners is set up to take large groups of people whitewater rafting,” Peterson said. “We have two rafting facilities on the Arkansas River, eight buses, more than 60 rafts and all of the rafting equipment needed to run at capacity.”

River Runners averages about 20,000 rafters between May 1 and Labor Day, according to Peterson, who said Boy Scouts, youth ministries, educational programs and other organized rafting groups are critical to the company’s success.

“It’s a short season and groups are an important part of our business,” Peterson said. “We want to offer the best service and the best deal possible to groups traveling to Colorado to go whitewater rafting.”

Group organizers can get Colorado whitewater rafting discounts by calling the River Runners reservation number at 800-723-8987, according to Peterson.

“We can create a custom rafting experience for your group,” Peterson explained. “Tips, photos, waivers, launch times, lunches, camping and other details can be worked out in advance so everything runs smoothly when your group arrives to go rafting.”

Group rafting discounts are good for full-day, half-day and overnight rafting trips through the Royal Gorge (class IV-V), Bighorn Sheep Canyon (class III-IV), Browns Canyon (class III-IV) and the Numbers (class IV-V), according to Travis Hochard, operations manager at River Runners.

“Whitewater rafting is the perfect group adventure in Colorado,” Hochard said. “It’s a great way to break the ice, work as a team, get exercise and enjoy the outdoors all in one activity.”

River Runners has offered professionally guided group rafting trips on the Arkansas River in Colorado since 1972. Choose from the River Runners Royal Gorge Rafting Center in Canon City, CO; or the River Runners Riverside Rafting Resort in Buena Vista, CO. Half-day, full-day and overnight rafting trips depart daily May 1 – Labor Day on beginner, intermediate and advanced whitewater.
