These Colorado whitewater rafting discounts are the most competitive in the industry and are being offered during some of the most exciting water levels of the season.

River Runners, a Colorado river outfitter with locations in Buena Vista and Canon City, offers two-for-one full-day Colorado whitewater rafting discounts on advanced bookings scheduled Sunday through Friday from May 1 - June 15, 2011.

Eileen Peterson, general manager at River Runners, said the purpose of the promotion is to get people on the river to see what Colorado whitewater rafting is all about.

“These Colorado whitewater rafting discounts are the most competitive in the industry and are being offered during some of the most exciting water levels of the season,” Peterson said. “Our hope is that our guests will have such an awesome time that they will want to spread the word.”

River Runners operates out of two Colorado whitewater rafting locations on the Arkansas River – the River Runners Royal Gorge Rafting Center, eight miles west of Canon City, which is scheduled to open for the season May 1; and the River Runners Riverside Rafting Resort, six miles south of Buena Vista, which is scheduled to open April 30.

“Both of our rafting facilities on the Arkansas River are centrally located near Colorado Springs, Denver and the Colorado ski areas in Summit County,” Peterson said. “We are an easy and scenic drive from nearly any Colorado vacation destination, and we offer trips that are appropriate for nearly all ages and abilities.”

River Runners full-day Colorado whitewater rafting trips on the Arkansas River are approximately six hours round trip and include a catered riverside lunch. Prices for intermediate class III trips through Bighorn Sheep Canyon and Browns Canyon are $86.00 for adults and $76.00 for children 12 and under. Rates for advanced class IV-V full-day trips through the Royal Gorge and the Numbers are $106.00 for adults and participants must be at least 14 years old.

“These are premium Colorado whitewater rafting trips for essentially half price,” Peterson said. “This two-for-one Colorado whitewater rafting discount brings the cost to only $45 per adult. There really is no better deal on the river.”

According to Peterson, there is no limit on the number of people per booking to receive the discount.

“Due to the size of our facilities, convenient locations and streamlined logistics, we can accommodate even the largest groups,” Peterson said. “Whether you are a scouting group looking for a whitewater rafting merit badge class, an organization needing to raise money, or simply a group of friends or family hoping for some quality time together, our staff will work to give you the best possible rafting experience.”

River Runners is a licensed outfitter certified by the State of Colorado. Fully guided beginner and advanced rafting trips are offered daily May - September on the Arkansas River within the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation area, a Colorado State Park.

The Arkansas River has more than 100 miles of prime whitewater rafting among the 14,000 peaks of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
