Lexity today launched Commerce Central, the industry’s first Open Commerce Cloud platform for ecommerce services. Commerce Central enables developers to quickly connect their apps to more than 30 online ecommerce platforms, including Magento, Etsy, eBay, Yahoo!, BigCommerce, Shopify, 3dcart, X-Cart, Bonanza and many more. The Commerce Central SaaS-based platform comes with its own App Store making it easy for online merchants to access apps ranging from Analytics to Pinterest management to help them run a profitable online business.
Commerce Central supports millions of merchants hosted on major ecommerce platforms including Magento, eBay, Shopify and more. The Commerce Central App Store is a one-stop-shop with apps that provide merchants access to Pinterest, Google Ads, Amazon Ads, Facebook, Twitter, theFind, Constant Contact and many others. Apps from Desk.com (Salesforce.com), Optimizely, Olark and more than 20 other developers are already in the Commerce Central App Store, with more than 50 additional developers planning to add Apps.
Up until now, developers were unable to use existing code across various platforms, creating significant development burdens to move their applications to new platforms. Unlike other offerings in this space, Commerce Central is the first truly open commerce platform.
“Because Lexity is the first Open Commerce Cloud, we make it easy for developers to connect their apps with the many ecommerce services available today and we in turn make these apps available to merchants via our App Store,” said Amit Kumar, CEO of Lexity. “With Commerce Central, developers can focus on providing functionality to their merchant customers without worrying about the sign-up process, or about accessing data via many different APIs.”
"Working with Lexity's new Commerce Central cloud platform has been great,” said Pete Koomen, President & Co-Founder of Optimizely, the leading Website Optimization Platform. “We look forward to getting a lot of new merchant customers from Lexity's broad distribution across over 30 ecommerce platforms."
Lexity has previously developed nine marketing apps for merchants and supported them across different ecommerce platforms. The company’s experience building applications for developers ensured a developer friendly approach when it created Commerce Central.
The Lexity Commerce Central platform is free for use for the next six months. Contact Lexity for further details.
