The Be LEARNing Conference hosted by Bentley is the premier event for practitioner learning across the vast range of Bentley offerings. Doug Fitzpatrick of Fitzpatrick Engineering Group will be speaking at the conference, discussing innovations employed on a recent project.
Immediately after lunch on Thursday, May 16, Mr. Fitzpatrick will present the tools and resources they utilized to complete the Rehab Hospital project that was selected as a finalist at the 2013 Be Inspired Innovations in Infrastructure conference in Amsterdam last fall. The title of that session is Be Inspired by Innovation in Structural Engineering. Covered topics will include the use of parametric content for plan and schedule coordination as well as the interoperability challenges between project collaboration requirements, model sharing and owner deliverables.
The first presentation that day goes from 11-11:45 a.m. and is titled, Creating Your Own Parametric Content with Parametric Cell Studio. Session participants will learn the basic concepts of creating and assembling cells in order to create and use parametric content. Best practices for a user friendly interface, connection with the data group system, customization and separation from delivered content, and scheduling leveraged by macros will be discussed in detail.
