AlterPoint and Compliance Spectrum Partner to Automate Network Compliance Controls across Multiple Regulatory Mandates

AlterPoint, Inc., a leading provider of open network management software, today announced that it has partnered with Compliance Spectrum, a leading provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions, to help enterprises ensure the continuous compliance of networks with multiple regulatory mandates. The agreement will pair Compliance Spectrum's in-depth policy controls solution with AlterPoint's automated network governance solution, enabling network stakeholders to proactively reduce compliance exposures and mitigate liability.

As compliance requirements mature, customers need more granular, prescriptive solutions to address their ongoing compliance efforts

Across industries, compliance requirements are having a serious impact on the way organizations collect, share and manage sensitive data. While intended to protect consumers and businesses from mass losses and liabilities, this "alphabet soup" of regulations - from PCI (Payment Card Industry) to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and beyond - has significantly increased the cost and complexity of network compliance management, as well as the strain on business and IT resources.

The AlterPoint-Compliance Spectrum partnership will provide a real-time, auditable solution for companies to understand their compliance posture, respond to changes and track remediation efforts over time and across multiple regulatory mandates. Compliance Spectrum's comprehensive compliance content library and pre-populated policy templates will help eliminate redundant controls and standardize policy and procedures for security, privacy programs and critical business processes. NetworkAuthority, AlterPoint's network configuration and change management solution, will automate the implementation of these policies and processes, and overlay powerful analytics that provide multiple stakeholders ongoing visibility into network compliance status. Together, the two solutions will enable companies to enforce network policy controls and provide reliable documentation of configuration changes that demonstrate regulatory compliance.

"Our mission is to simplify the compliance process, saving customers time and money in meeting their compliance requirements," said Doug Pushard, CEO of Compliance Spectrum. "With the addition of AlterPoint's network governance solutions, we are helping companies transition from a manual, reactive compliance model to one that is automated and produces a steady state of audit readiness."

"As compliance requirements mature, customers need more granular, prescriptive solutions to address their ongoing compliance efforts," said Dave Barry, vice president of business development at AlterPoint. "Compliance Spectrum's sophisticated content compliance solutions empower organizations to focus their risk management efforts on the information assets that represent the greatest value and potential liability to the business."
