We're surprised that, given one dollar is such a small amount, more than a quarter of Sydneysiders would rather save it than donate it, or even give it to their kids which came in third place
Sydney, NSW (PRWEB) October 20, 2009
NRMA Insurance has today revealed NSW residents' 'Top 10 Ways to Spend a Buck'*, as part of its month-long promotion, offering NSW customers a chance to get their Comprehensive Car Insurance for just $1, with one lucky customer every hour between 8am and 8pm.
The research revealed that, when given one dollar to spend any way they could, people are most likely to save it (26%).
NRMA Insurance spokesperson Emily Gatt said people's thriftiness had out-weighed philanthropy (18%) and that giving a tip at a restaurant or café proved even less popular, coming in last place (2%).
"We're surprised that, given one dollar is such a small amount, more than a quarter of Sydneysiders would rather save it than donate it, or even give it to their kids which came in third place," said Ms Gatt.
"I guess the results show how much every dollar counts at the moment - which is why we're excited to be able to offer some NSW customers Comprehensive Car Insurance for an entire year, for just $1.
"So why not call 132 132 and speak with one of our consultants to take out a quote or renew your Comprehensive Car Insurance - it could be you who gets the $1 deal."
