Avid collector Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters announces his search for original 1967 Jim Morrison and the Doors Shrine Auditorium concert posters. This hand colored artwork is one of the most coveted Doors concert posters. The concert was held on December 22 and 23 in Los Angles. Hawley states, "When the doors played the Shrine, the band was one of the biggest bands of the 1960s. Light My Fire was at the top of the charts and the Doors had released its debut album that year. The poster is black and white which is unique compared to other colorful psychedelic concert poster art. There is a rarely used photo of Morrison on the top and stock photo of the band below. The poster artist was R. Meeker. Besides the Doors, the Who, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and The Grateful Dead played the Shrine."
