35% Have Written in Wet Cement, 40% Would Love to

Recent survey has revealed that of over 1000 respondents, 35% have at some time written in wet cement, whilst 40% said they would love to at least once.

(PRWEB) November 4, 2009 -- We’ve all seen the evidence of a permanent finger-carved name or message in the footpath or driveway, but how many of us would actually confess to being a culprit. And, more importantly, would we secretly love to give it a try?

A recent survey commissioned for http://www.Concreters.com.au found that there’s a little bit of “cement artist” in most of us.

There were a couple of surprises in our survey, but more than anything I was a little taken back with the number of respondents that admitted to having actually taken the plunge at some stage in their life.
The survey question asked “Have you ever written your name in wet cement?”, with results as follows:

  • 25% said “No, I would never do that”
  •
  • 33% said “Yes, but it was years ago”
  •
  • 2% admitted “Yes, recently (but it’s a secret), and
  •
  • 40% declared “No, but I would love to just once”

According to Concreters.com.au Spokesperson, Craig Seitam, “There were a couple of surprises in our survey, but more than anything I was a little taken back with the number of respondents that admitted to having actually taken the plunge at some stage in their life.”

“However we think that Concrete Contractors can take some comfort from the facts. The majority of etchings are from a distant past, and those that would love to try are unlikely to go through with it.”

Launched recently, Concreters.com.au (part of the Business.com.au network) is an online directory featuring Australian Concreters, information and news.

*Survey conducted October/November 2009 by Craig Bradley Market Engineering Pty Ltd, source http://www.CompetitionsGuide.com.au. Over 1,000 responses recorded without duplication from respondents with verified details.
