We have guests who just assume that we are a hotel. Because hotels were the only option for travelers for so long, there is a lot of confusion regarding all the options that are out there for lodging.

The first step to finding the perfect space for your summer vacation is to know your options, according to Daniel Honsvick of Caribe Resort. From hotels to condos, travelers have a plethora of choices, each with their own unique offerings.
“We have guests who just assume that we are a hotel,” said Honsvick. “Because hotels were the only option for travelers for so long, there is a lot of confusion regarding all the options that are out there for lodging.”
There are three big differences between condos and hotel rooms, according to Honsvick:
No. 1: Space. While the average hotel room contains only room for sleeping, condos typically provide more space for travelers. “Most condos have one or more bedrooms, a living room, dining space, kitchen, and one or more bathrooms,” noted Honsvick. “This gives travelers more communal spaces to relax, without being confined to a bedroom.”
No. 2: Price. Condos can be significantly cheaper than renting hotel rooms. “Travelers can use the amenities that a condo provides to save additional money, such as buying food to prepare in the kitchen, or doing laundry using the washer and dryer,” added Honsvick.
No. 3: Character. While hotel rooms tend to look similar, condos can be very unique, as they are owned by individuals with unique tastes. “Condos reflect the lifestyle of the destination, or the neighborhood in which the condo is located,” concluded Honsvick. “Taking this criteria into consideration will help guests choose the perfect space for them, improving their overall summer vacation.”
