To be named among the industry’s leading conference centres is a great tribute to our team’s dedication.

Lane End Conference Centre has been nominated for two major industry awards for the second time in a matter of weeks.

Buckinghamshire-based Lane End has been shortlisted in two categories of the 2013 Conference Venue & Supplier Awards.

Lane End has been named a finalist in the Best Training Venue and Best Purpose-Built Conference Centre categories.

The Conference Awards are effectively the Oscars for the industry, bringing together its major players to celebrate success, innovation and excellence.

This year’s event has attracted more entries than ever, attracting lots of new companies within the industry.

Winners in 15 categories will be announced at a prestigious lunch compered by BAFTA-winning comedienne Jo Brand on June 7 at The Brewery in London’s City.

This is the second time this year that Lane End has been nominated for major UK conference centre awards.

In March, the popular conference venue was a finalist in two categories of the M&IT Awards – Best UK Conference Centre and Best UK Management Training Centre.

It was the second year running that Lane End had been nominated in the M&IT Awards in the Best UK Conference Centre category.

Lane End Sales and Marketing Manager Heni Fourie said: “To be named among the industry’s leading conference centres is a great tribute to our team’s dedication.

“We are passionate about delivering the very best possible conference experience for our delegates. It’s all about striving for excellence and re-investing in our facilities,” he added.

Lane End Conference Centre benefits from a great location – 26 acres of peaceful countryside just one hour’s drive from the heart of London.

Excellent motorway connections via the M40 and M25 provide fast links to Heathrow and Gatwick, making Lane End the smart choice for international conference delegates.

The residential conference centre’s 32 meeting rooms and 104 bedrooms are divided between five completely self-contained buildings.

This gives companies and organisations exclusive use of the facilities within their building – ensuring absolute privacy and maximum productivity.

Lane End has recently undergone a major programme of refurbishments including new dining facilities and a direct fibre-optic connection that provides delegates with free superfast broadband.

With speeds of up to 100Mb, the new superfast broadband has proved to be extremely popular with conference organisers and delegates.

Other improvements include structural enhancements to several of Lane End’s buildings to let in more natural daylight.

Last year Lane End launched experiential learning at its graduate training centre. Courses include 20 different mental and physical challenges to hone the competitive edge of teams and individuals.
