It is wonderful to be nominated as a finalist in these prestigious awards for the second year running – and doubly so to be named in two categories.

Lane End Conference Centre has been nominated for two M&IT Awards: Best UK Conference Centre and Best UK Management Training Centre.

It is the second year running that Buckinghamshire-based Lane End has been named in the awards, the longest-running of their kind in the meetings industry.

The M&IT Awards winners will be announced on March 19 at a gala dinner during the International Confex exhibition.

BBC TV presenter Kate Silverton will return as mistress of ceremonies at the black tie dinner which will be held at Battersea Evolution. More than 700 people are expected to attend.

Award finalists are chosen based on the votes of the readers of Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine. The votes are audited and verified by the independent Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC).

The award nominations are a coup for Lane End because it is the second consecutive year it has been chosen as a finalist in the Best UK Conference Centre category.

Lane End Sales and Marketing Manager Heni Fourie said: “It is wonderful to be nominated as a finalist in these prestigious awards for the second year running – and doubly so to be named in two categories.”

Lane End has also just been awarded Gold Standard Accreditation from BDRC Continental for customer satisfaction.

BDRC Continental is an award-winning full service research consultancy that uses advanced analytics and at least two decades of experience to help leading service sector brands across the globe.

Its VenueVerdict programme featured around 400 participating hotels, conference centres and other meeting venues in the UK and Ireland. The results were based on more than 27,500 individual pieces of feedback.

Lane End has a high customer retention rate with 87 per cent of customers who booked in 2011 returning to the UK conference venue in 2012.

Mr Fourie said: “We believe that our high retention rate can be attributed to the high levels of customer service that our customers experience at Lane End.”

Last year the purpose-built residential conference centre near High Wycombe invested in major refurbishments to ensure its meeting rooms and accommodation continue to be of the highest quality.

Refurbishments also included superfast broadband with connections speeds up to 100Mb.

As well as excellent conference facilities, Lane End also benefits from a superb location – it is only 30 miles from the centre of London (and 30 minutes from the major airports) but enjoys a stunning countryside location in the beautiful Chiltern Hills.

Swift motorway connections via the M25, M4, M40 and A404(M) make Lane End easy to access. There is also lots of free car parking.

This means it is the perfect business destination for companies seeking all the benefits of high tech corporate conference rooms combined with the privacy, peace and quiet of a rural location.

Lane End is also an ideal training venue – free from the distractions usually associated with running courses or exams at an in-house location.

Lane End also benefits from another important factor that makes it first choice for companies and organisations seeking privacy.

Its five dedicated conference buildings are all self-contained – so companies can enjoy the exclusive use of one or more buildings without any distractions.

Lane End also offers a large range of corporate team building events, ranging from motorised and other fun events to experiential learning days designed to enhance team performance.
