Tara Mashack-Behney, Partner and Director of Investment Consulting said CSIA stands apart by offering independent, fee-based guidance.

We are driven by the best interests of the clients. We take a personal, trusted advisor approach and provide specific recommendations based on specific needs.

Conrad Siegel Actuaries, delivering comprehensive employee benefits services, proudly announced today the 10th anniversary of its Investment Advisory practice. Created in June of 2002 in response to client demand, the practice has grown from just $21 million in assets under management at the end of 2002 to over $670 million today.

In the most recent Central Penn Business Journal rankings, Conrad Siegel Investment Advisors, Inc. (CSIA) ranked sixth among regional firms ranked by assets under management. Tara Mashack-Behney, Partner and Director of Investment Consulting said CSIA stands apart by offering independent, fee-based guidance.

“We are driven by the best interests of the clients,” Mashack-Behney said. “We take a personal, trusted advisor approach and provide specific recommendations based on specific needs. Many advisors simply hand over a list of investment options to their clients because they can’t make recommendations. We work with the clients to provide recommendations and to make sure we meet their needs.”

Mashack-Behney, who has led the division from the start, said that CSIA manages approximately 100 client relationships and employs 18 Investment Advisor Representatives. Clients include a range of 401(k) Plan Sponsors, corporate defined benefit plans, municipal retirement plans in Pennsylvania, as well as high net worth individuals.

As the 401(k) industry prepares for new regulations that mandate the disclosure of all fees to plan participants, Mashack-Behney said CSIA is well positioned for growth.

“We have always been up front and transparent about fees for record keeping and investment advisory services,” she said. “CSIA keeps it simple. We provide easy to read reports without a lot of technical language and jargon. Most of all what we provide is a comfort level so that clients get the support they need from a trusted advisor for the decisions they need to make.”
