Consignment Chic, LLC (“Consignment Chic”) is proud to announce that its founder, Tracy True Dismukes, is a finalist for the national NAWBO/Wells Fargo Trailblazer Award. The Trailblazer Award was launched in 2002 to celebrate the significant role that women business owners play in driving the American economy.

Dismukes is the owner of a chain of three consignment shops called Collage Designer Consignment and Collage Plus Sizes in Birmingham, Alabama. She is also the founder of Consignment Chic, an innovative marketing alliance among consignment shop and resale shop owners dedicated to promoting consignment shopping. Consignment Chic hosts a consumer-focused website (http://www.consignmentchic.com) that has quickly become the gold standard of website communities for consignment shoppers.

“What a thrill it is to be in a position where I can help other shop owners around the country succeed in their own businesses. My passion lies in helping them become more profitable thus providing the business owner a more sustainable business which in turn supports job growth for the long term. How cool is that?” says Dismukes.

Three female business owners will be recognized for their trailblazing spirit as demonstrated by their companies’ business performance, innovation, growth, and contribution to the community. Each winner will receive a $5,000 cash grant, nationwide recognition, and will be honored at the 2010 NAWBO Annual Women’s Business Conference in Washington D.C.

ConsignmentChic.com provides online consignment shopping, video clips, blogs, a store finder, message boards and information to educate and energize consumers about consignment shopping. The overall goal of the partnering consignment store owners is to convert potential customers on the Internet to consistent consignment shoppers online and in their brick and mortar stores.

In February 2010, Consignment Chic launched its own private label, custom designed consignment-themed line of t-shirts that are now being sold at consignment shops across the country.

Dismukes is now in the process of developing more options to help consignment, resale and retail shop owners experience success in their businesses. She is creating a series of business building teleseminars, offering consulting options, creating marketing packages, adding value to the partnership packages on ConsignmentChic.com, and adding more wholesale items to Consignment Chic’s private label line that shop owners can sell to their customers.
