Our decision to further our business relationship with Encompix and Consona was clear-cut. Their unparalleled customer service support and technical expertise made this a natural progression.

Consona Corporation (Consona), a worldwide leader in providing customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and services for companies of all sizes, today introduced the latest addition to the Encompix ERP product, Shop Floor Data Collection (SFDC) version 1.0 (v1.0). Offered as a complement to Encompix, the leading ERP system for engineer-to-order (ETO) and project-based manufacturers, SFDC promotes greater time and cost savings and improved data accuracy with additional automated processes.

The Hendrick Family of Companies, a leading manufacturer of cutting edge solutions for perforated, fabricated and screen metal material, has been a client of Encompix for over ten years. With four divisions currently using Encompix ERP solutions, they are in the process of moving forward with the new SFDC v1.0.

“We plan on improving inventory accuracy and order processing throughout our entire shop and organization. We look forward to profiting from the real-time inventory and improving our raw material labeling accuracy,” said Rommel Malay, IT manager, Hendrick. “Our decision to further our business relationship with Encompix and Consona was clear-cut. Their unparalleled customer service support and technical expertise made this a natural progression.”

Designed to handle the unique business challenges of engineering-intensive companies, Encompix is the top ERP solution in the project-based and ETO industry. SFDC builds out the Encompix suite of products to offer automated data entry, which helps facilitate better materials management decisions; reduce costs by providing a clear picture of inventory levels; and accelerate inventory turns and improve cash flow. Automated shop floor and receiving transactions also improve data accuracy and save time, while decreasing errors caused by manual entry.

Thanks to its thin-client architecture, SFDC supports a wide range of data collection devices, including hardwired units and powerful mobile RF handheld devices from vendors like Intermec, Symbol and Computerwise. Consequently, any existing hardware can be easily integrated with other hardware devices on the same network and managed through a single tool, virtually eliminating any additional infrastructure costs.

“Encompix’s superior performance and its comprehensive suite of products have made it the ERP software of choice for leading project-based and ETO manufacturing companies,” said Frank O’Nell, vice president of product management for Consona’s ERP solutions. “Now augmented with the SFDC, Encompix will continue to be the solution these companies turn to for improved operational efficiencies that make a significant impact on their bottom line.”

SFDC v1.0 is available immediately for Encompix versions 9.4 or higher. For additional product information, please visit http://www.encompix.com.
