Consona Corporation (Consona), a worldwide leader in providing customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and services for companies of all sizes, today announced the general availability of Paradigm Version 3.7 (v3.7) and a new System Alerts Module (SAM).

The Paradigm v3.7 ERP solution features a number of enhancements specifically designed to meet the needs of today’s printed circuit board (PCB) industry, including a Plan by MRP (MRP Action List) function which generates and automates an action list of the required transactions that result after running MRP. Paradigm v3.7 also includes a non-nettable raw material processing feature which allows raw materials that are suspected of being defective to be categorized with special consideration with regards to an ERP transaction, so as to not be used in MRP reporting. Various usability and user interface (UI) enhancements were also incorporated in v3.7.

An optional add-on to Paradigm is the SAM module, which delivers real-time notifications to systems users and decision makers alike, via mobile device or PC. Whether people need to know when materials have arrived, when rejects occur on the shop floor, materials require inspection, or when a new sales order has been entered, Paradigm SAM provides a direct message to the proper user according to pre-defined requirements so that any required action can be taken. The module includes more than 50 alerts regarding sales, production, quality, materials, finance and maintenance, and is compatible with Paradigm versions 3.4 and higher.

“System Alert Module allows our users the flexibility of staying in touch without having Paradigm Running,” said Emily Eastman, systems administrator, Amphenol Printed Circuits Inc. “Customer returns are reviewed for disposition even faster than before. The system lets the quality group know when receiving is completed and eliminates excess email.”

SAM is especially important for those who do not regularly log in to the system, such as C-level mangers. Further, in the modern workforce the use of mobile devices is increasingly prevalent and senior employees are often working off-site or traveling. The alert system initiates notifications from Paradigm directly to the user, communicating that there are actions for them to perform.

“We are pleased to bring Paradigm customers and prospective users the System Alerts Module to help them get even more value and effectiveness out of the Paradigm ERP system,” said Frank O’Nell, vice president of product management for Consona’s ERP products. “At Consona, we pay close attention to customer feedback and the evolution of technology in order to stay ahead of our customers’ needs and requests, and deliver the best solutions in the industry.”

Paradigm v3.7 and the System Alerts Module were released to all customers. For more information, please contact your Consona representative or visit: http://www.cim-sys.com.
