Virginia-based construction company, Scott-Long Construction, is pleased to announce its fiftieth year as a builder of community-focused institutional projects in the DC/Northern Virginia area.
Founded by Bruce Scott in 1961, Scott-Long is currently led by Bruce’s son and CEO, John Scott. The company’s current leadership attributes its long history of success to remaining true to the values of its founding family members. As a full-service construction company, Scott-Long offers complete preconstruction, general contracting, and design/build services.
The company specializes in construction projects that are client-centered and beneficial to communities. Religious institutions, educational facilities, healthcare and senior care, and specialty commercial projects make up the majority of Scott-Long’s projects and have enabled the company to experience consistent growth over its history.
The company recently celebrated with a 50 year anniversary hoedown with more than 200 employees, customers, and partners in attendance.
Earlier in 2011, Scott-Long re-branded its corporate identity by unveiling a new logo, website, and color scheme that celebrates the history of the brand while projecting a modern and relevant new image. And in the final quarter of 2011 the company was awarded nearly $40 million in new projects, which will put the company in a great position to reach its 2012 revenue goals.
“We are pleased to have earned the trust of our clients for the past 50 years and are especially looking forward to several exciting new partnerships already lined up for 2012, including Inova Leesburg Medical Center, USO Wounded Warrior Family Support Center at Ft. Belvoir, and Bethel Korean Presbyterian Promise Center,” remarks company CEO John Scott.
Throughout its history, Scott-Long Construction has won 65 awards for construction excellence as well as safety and training. To learn more about Scott-Long Construction, visit http://www.scottlong.com/.
