In this newly created position, Mr. Colon will be responsible for leading the daily business operations including the management of the consulting and sales teams for Miro Consulting. He will also handle the enhancements to the core consulting services.
Miro Consulting helps companies analyze and negotiate enterprise software contracts, specifically Oracle and Microsoft licensing. The company also assures licensing compliance through its ongoing software asset management program. Clients include GotVMail, PR Newswire, Sony, Timex and many other mid-size organizations as well as Fortune 1000 companies.
During the past seven years, Mr. Colon served as the Chief Operating Officer of Miro Consulting, where he led the strategy and execution of the company's software license management service and will continue to do so in his new role. In addition, he will continue to act as the chief liaison between the company and its partners including Avnet, Inc. and Oracle Corporation.
Mr. Colon and Scott Rosenberg, CEO and founder of Miro Consulting, have negotiated over $700 million in software licensing transactions, saving companies more than half a billion dollars in licensing, support and consulting fees.

Prior to Miro Consulting, Mr. Colon worked as Director of Sales and Account Executive within the Oracle VAR partner channel, where he generated more than 50 new clients and over $25 million in Oracle license and support sales within three years. Before that, he was the Controller and Accounting Manager at Polmar Technologies/Spherion Corporation. Mr. Colon led the department to an explosive 300% revenue growth within a two-year period. He also worked with clients to restructure and negotiate technology contracts. While at the company, Mr. Colon managed the implementation of the accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, which increased sales productivity.
Mr. Colon has been frequently quoted in the media in publications such as The Wall Street Journal and IT Week, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences including several Society of Information Management events. He is an active member of the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers (IAITAM) and is a Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM). This past year, he was selected as one of the finalists in the Ernst & Young's prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year(R) New Jersey program.
Eliot Colon holds a degree in Business from Middlesex College and a degree in Finance from Rowan University (formerly Glassboro State College).
Mr. Colon currently resides in Brielle, N.J. and is an active member of the Manasquan River Yacht Club. An avid supporter of the MS Foundation, Mr. Colon participates in the local fundraising events as well as the annual coast-to-coast bike race fundraiser.
