The Miami Beach Condo Journal announced its Luxury Condo of the Week, after a unit in Miami Beach’s luxury Continuum building sold in a record-setting sale, for just over $6.5 million.

The Miami Beach Condo Journal named the Continuum on South Beach, brokered by Zilbert International, its Luxury Condo of the Week, following a record-breaking sale of one of its apartments as reported by redOrbit.com. The apartment, Unit 3007, was sold by two Zilbert International associates who call themselves the “Bill and Bryan team,” Bill Hernandez and Bryan Sereny. The team sold the apartment for $6,575,000; at just over four thousand square feet, it is the largest non-penthouse condo of its size to be sold in the building this year.

Zilbert International Realty, who brokered the record-setting sale, is a real estate firm whose property inventory includes St. Regis Miami condos and even a Chateau just outside of Paris. Montreal-born Mark Zilbert founded the company in 2003. Since its inception, it has partnered with LuxuryRealEstate.com and the Who’s Who of Luxury Real Estate, and now works with over 70,000 real estate agents worldwide.

The Continuum South Tower, one of the premier Miami Beach Condos for sale, is located at 100 South Pointe Drive, and includes 318 units, varying from 1201 square feet all the way to 5438 square feet. Built in 2002, Continuum is one of Miami’s newest luxury condominium buildings, and features such amenities as 10-foot ceilings in every unit, an on-site poolside restaurant, and six thousand square feet of additional outdoor space. Unit prices currently range from about $1.3 million to $39 million. Back in May, a penthouse in Continuum set another Miami record after being sold for $25 million; that price surpassed the previous $21.5 million record and stood as the largest single-unit sale in Miami-Dade. Already this year, over $85 million worth of sales have closed on units in the complex. When asked about this, Mark Zilbert, founder and managing broker of Zilbert International Realty, described Continuum as “one of Miami Beach’s great real estate success stories.” He also mentioned the recovering real estate market and a “hunger” for luxury units as instrumental in driving up prices.

The Miami Beach Condo Journal named its Luxury Condo of the Week today, Continuum, a 318-unit complex at 100 South Pointe Drive. The news comes after a broker team affiliated with Zilbert International made a record-setting sale, selling Unit 3007 for about $6.57 million. Unit 3007 is the largest non-penthouse condo of its size to be sold in the building this year. Earlier this year, Continuum had set another record after one of its penthouses sold for $25 million, the biggest condo sale in Miami-Dade.
