More choice for consumers from EasyGap for Contract Hire and Lease Gap Insurance

Featured Gap Insurance provider EasyGap, have announced improvements to there range of Lease and Contract Hire Gap Insurance products. The brand, owned by Aequitas Automotive Ltd, offers guaranteed asset protection direct to the UK public through the EasyGap website, and its sister website at GapInsurance123.

Contract Hire and Lease agreements are used by businesses and individuals to secure the use of a range of vehicles. Unlike many other types of finance, a contract hire agreement does not allow the user to ever own the vehicle. Instead the lease holder pays a rental every month, direct to the lease company. If the vehicle is 'written off' by a motor insurer, the lease holder can be liable for outstanding rentals on the agreement.

The team explain how Lease Gap Insurance can provide protection, and how their range has been improved for the product.

"If a lease holder is unfortunate enough to have the vehicle 'written off' by their insurer, the settlement from the insurer will not protect the outstanding rentals on the agreement. A contract hire gap insurance polciy can be used to cover these payments.

This type of insurance was often included in lease payments years ago, however, consumers must now secure cover themselves.

We have improved our product range recently, and this means we now have access to products allowing for up to £25,000 protection. You can now have a motor insurance excess protection also, and the policy can be cancelled at any point. We even now have access to cover that can be placed at any point of the lease agreement.

We have also expanded our payment facilities, allowing for payments by PayPal on both retails facilities. The option for monthly payments of premiums will also be expanded in the months to follow"

EasyGap also commented that response to their new options have been welcomed by customers, and that they plan further improvements to their products and facilities by the end of the year.
