Newly Released Book by Retired Scientist Links Self-Control of Hormones to Perfecting One's Life

In his newest book, retired scientist Robert L. Peck discusses connections between the mind and body, hormone control, and personal growth. "Readers learn how ancient science was well aware of the effects of hormones and how many of the hormones could be controlled with the mind."

Lebanon, CT (PRWEB) January 21, 2009 -- 'Controlling Your Hormones', the latest book by retired scientist Robert L. Peck, prominently illuminates the correlation between being able to manipulate one's hormonal balance and one's well being. In his book, Peck references ancient texts like the 'Rudrayamala' of India to reveal how humans are able to mentally transform their mind and body.

Peck, a retired scientist with a concentration in energy conversion and storage, offers "proof that the state of mind and body can be individually changed in order to obtain a more rewarding and meaningful life through self-control of inner hormones." In Controlling Your Hormones, he delves into early Greek and Sanskrit writings when expounding upon profound transformations produced by such hormones.

According to the book, the ancient world unearthed a mentally controlled transformational power attributed to an inner mystical elixir and controlled by a center between the thighs. Known to the Greeks as 'perineum,' meaning the 'center of control,' Peck describes this center as controlling the body's vital energy.

In different chapters throughout Controlling Your Hormones, Peck draws parallels and correlations between modern science and ancient scientific concepts and models. He connects early claims, such as the ability to mentally gird one's self thus increasing outer physical powers, with modern-day controlled experiments showing the success of such techniques to improve response time.

Through frank, easy to understand language, Peck includes a variety of translations of texts that address ancient hormone-controlling practices, including the 'Hathapradipika' and the 'RigVeda.' Although some candid discussion of self-directed hormonal changes - some of which involve activating 'hidden organs' of the body - may strike readers as odd, Peck's comprehensive description and explanations lend significant credibility to his line of reasoning.

About the Author:
Robert L. Peck spent most of his professional career researching and publishing in the field of energy conversion and storage. He formed a research lab supported in part by a major oil company to develop an inexpensive system to convert common heat into electrical power for which Peck was issued a number of patents. He started the 'Personal Development Center' to explore ancient descriptions of the control of metamorphic energy conversion processes within the human body. During classes at the Center his middle-class American students volunteered to participate in many experiments to verify several of the ancient claims such as increased human response times as widely demonstrated within the Martial Arts.
