Free Celebration in East Bay to Include Giveaways and Services

Convoy of Hope is partnering with local businesses, churches, government agencies and nonprofits to bring a community celebration to Bay Point, Calif., on Saturday, April 5, at Rio Vista Elementary School. During the celebration, Convoy of Hope and the East Bay community will provide more than $1 million in free goods and services including free food, health services, haircuts, family portraits, job services, kids carnival and more.

In 2013, more than 118,000 guests attended the $50-million tour at stops around the country.

“Convoy of Hope has deep roots in the East Bay area,” says Hal Donaldson, president of Convoy of Hope. “We are excited to be in the area and partnering with our friends as we serve our neighbors.”

Convoy of Hope is also working with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) and Plum Organics at the outreach. NBCF will be providing education, support and early detection services to underserved women in the community. Plum Organics will provide guests with their organic baby, toddler and child food products.
