CoPilot Live, the popular GPS navigation app for smartphones and tablets, today released the latest version of CoPilot Live Premium for iOS and Android. The new version 9.3 is available for: Android tablets and smartphones; iPhone and iPad, including the iPhone 5 and devices running the new iOS 6. It contains features that improve the app’s core navigation functions and overall user experience.

For iOS and Android

•     Google Search: CoPilot Live’s local search is now powered by the world’s premier search engine. This was the feature most requested by CoPilot users.
•     Improved ActiveTraffic™: Redesigned traffic map display and status bar make it easier to find the best route based on real-time traffic flow.
•     Cloud backup: All favorite locations, recent destinations, and pre-planned routes are now stored in the cloud for easy restoration when changing mobile devices.
•     Customizable themes: Personalize CoPilot Live by choosing from a selection of new app skins.

Exclusive to iOS

•     iPhone 5 and iOS 6 optimization: CoPilot Live is now optimized for the expanded screen size and resolution of the iPhone 5 and available for all devices running iOS 6.
•     Integration with Apple’s Maps: Users will be able to find and select a location on Apple’s Maps and then navigate there using CoPilot’s offline, voice-guided, turn-by-turn GPS guidance.
•     Customizable Map Downloads: Select as few or as many map regions as needed, saving download time and storage space.

Exclusive to Android

•     Email address integration: Users can now select addresses within any email and navigate there using CoPilot’s on-board maps.
•     Background navigation: Bring voice directions to the forefront. CoPilot will continue to provide turn-by-turn voice directions when on a call or using other apps on the device.

Other updates to the app include a streamlined “clear destination” process and numerous interface improvements, fixes, and performance enhancements based on customer feedback.
