“It has been my wish, and it was my father's, that all who read this will know that the same Power-God in the Person of the Holy Spirit-could transform the life of anyone desiring this.

Cora Jewell brings back to life the story of Lawrence Jewell in biography “Larry: “Hell-Bent” Transformed to “Heaven-Sent”” (published by Balboa Press). In the book, readers will witness the story of the transformation of a wild, uneducated young man into a competent self-educated minister, an effective community youth leader and a loving husband and father.

Aside from the author’s father, the book also follows her family. It is based from various sources of information: family recollections, Larry's letters, newspaper articles and church records. Through the stories contained in the book, the author wants readers to realize the power of God in transforming lives and as a provider.

An excerpt from the book:
Larry and Mary loved each other, but they were very different. In addition, they faced a big hurdle before they could say "I do." What helped them make the right decision?

“It has been my wish, and it was my father's, that all who read this will know that the same Power-God in the Person of the Holy Spirit-could transform the life of anyone desiring this,” the author says.
