As the use of mobile devices in the enterprise continues to skyrocket, mobile is sprinting along the path laid by computers and the internet over the last several decades
Gartner Symposium, Orlando, FL (PRWEB) October 17, 2011
At Gartner Symposium, mobile risk management company Fixmo today announced a partnership with CorreLog, a provider of security information and event management (SIEM), enterprise log management and proactive security correlation solutions. As a result of the partnership, Fixmo Sentinel Server Compliance Check’s (SCC) comprehensive compliance engine will extend CorreLog’s existing compliance management tools to power the industry’s first holistic mobile infrastructure compliance offering.
Fixmo SCC is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) version of AutoBES, a compliance monitoring system originally developed by the National Security Agency (NSA). SCC automates auditing of mobile infrastructures, ensuring proper configuration for compliance, and simplifying the often error-ridden and lengthy manual process.
Through the Fixmo-CorreLog partnership, data collected by SCC will now be integrated into CorreLog’s data collection and correlation engine, resulting in a consolidated dashboard view of mobile server data logs that is easy to understand and manage alongside enterprises’ other data logs. The integrated view allows for customization of reference policies, scheduling and simple graphical representation of compliance levels that can be easily audited. The new product is expected in Q4 this year.
“As the use of mobile devices in the enterprise continues to skyrocket, mobile is sprinting along the path laid by computers and the internet over the last several decades,” said Rick Segal, CEO at Fixmo. “Mobile servers must be held to high standards of traceability, compliance and auditability. By partnering with CorreLog, we are aiming to deliver comprehensive and vital mobile infrastructure awareness to enterprises in a way that is easily viewed and managed.”
“The sheer volume of data tied to a company’s mobile infrastructure represents a daunting management task for organizations that need to use this data for threat detection and compliance,” said George Faucher, CEO at CorreLog. “Through our partnership with Fixmo, we are integrating log data linked to security events into a single and practical console for security, compliance and auditing.”
The Fixmo-powered solution from CorreLog will ensure that mobile device infrastructures such as the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and the Good Mobile Messaging Server are compliant with the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
