CorreLog, a provider of SIEM, enterprise log management, and proactive security correlation solutions, announced today that the South Florida Independent Software Vendor will be a featured sponsor in the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance pavilion at the FOCUS 11 Security Conference in Las Vegas, taking place from October 18-20, 2011. At FOCUS 11, CorreLog will showcase its tight integration with the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator™ security management platform as well as recent enhancements to the joint offering through CorreLog’s latest release of Enterprise Correlation Server 5.0. This release boasts improvements in log message capacity, expanded connectivity to critical IT systems, and new data encryption capabilities, including FIPS encryption for government security. CorreLog 5.0 enhancements also include support for IPv6 communications transfer. Click here for more details on McAfee FOCUS 11.

CorreLog Server 5.0 now ships with CorreLog Normalizer™, a parsing plug-in that manages message delivery into relational databases. CorreLog Normalizer can handle a minimum of 1,000 messages per second sustained and has the capability to map data fields to match any reporting requirement. Through a simple drag-and-drop GUI, a Normalizer user can parse Syslog messages into standardized columns of a relational database regardless of the origin of the message or the order of the fields in the message being sent. Normalizer does not require separate adapters for each device, nor is it dependent on Syslog messages in a proprietary, vendor-specific format.

With IT departments relying on fewer resources, the need to automate threat detection and security management has IT managers turning to correlation engines that can decode meaning from the massive amount of log messages collected, and then automatically issue proactive alerts to enable timely resolution. These correlation engines are able to handle massive log volume from diverse sources in real-time. CorreLog Correlation Server 5.0 provides enhanced correlation to support more diverse applications, providing greater threat detection with an audit trail for compliance.

“A key goal behind the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance program is to accelerate the development of interoperable security products and simplify the integration of those products with complex customer environments,” said Ed Barry, vice president of the Security Innovation Alliance, McAfee. “We’re thrilled to see CorreLog leverage McAfee’s investment in its security risk management platform and extend this value to CorreLog’s customers.”

Last month, CorreLog announced that it has achieved McAfee Compatible status for CorreLog Correlation Server and has also been elevated to a Sales Teaming Partner in the McAfee SIA program. In addition, CorreLog has been a trusted member of the McAfee partner community since the summer of 2009. “We believe in McAfee’s laser focus on bringing new technologies to market faster,” said George Faucher, President and CEO of CorreLog. “No other security technology provider is investing more in their partner network than McAfee, and we are proud to be a part of the McAfee SIA community.”
